You Can Afford A Home Surveillance Video System

Posted by Shamus in Wireless Security

Every day as I walked out of home, I turned my back on my small most important investment – my children and my home. I possibly could not afford the expense of installation, hardware and repair off a Home Surveillance Video System. I took the possibility that my “BEWARE OF DOG SIGN” would deter intruders. Maybe it has worked or I have been just plain lucky.

I actually do live in a remote area and also have no neighbors to alert me to suspicious activity. A property surveillance video system would add reassurance and security. My fantasy was to setup a camera and possess the ability to see any activity around home…from deer in my entry to unwelcomed visitors. About the lighter side We have come home to a house in shambles not due to intruders but because of the adventures of my cat and dog. I can’t imagine what kind of games went on while I was gone.

Now, I have found the solution. I can view what’s going on at my home with my mobile phone or my work computer. You are able to too! You can keep track of your home by installing a home surveillance video system yourself. You simply need your home computer plus an inexpensive Web Cam to stream your home surveillance video.

Doing it yourself you can choose 2 methods for your home surveillance video system. The different options are as little as $29 to “the sky’s the limit”. My goal is to focus on 2 home surveillance video systems:

The simple Home Surveillance – for $30
The Logitech WiLife Home Surveillance Video System at approximately $300.
The simple Home Surveillance -Video System is a Step by Step guide on generating a camera or cameras without monthly maintenance fees. You simply need:

Your Web cam to stream video
Your pc
The free software using this guide
An Internet connection to view remotely to the web or your mobile phone
This guide does provide you with usage of free Video Surveillance software and instructions on how to view your web cam from the cell phone. You can monitor your online cam from your computer, remote PC or Cell Phone. It’s an excellent guide. You can not go wrong for the price.

Price around $30.

If you do not mind spending the money and don’t have a Web Cam, my next choice would be:

The Logitech WiLife. It comes with:

An interior wireless video camera
All the home video surveillance software you need to get up and going.
You can up to a total of six cameras and monitor them from the computer or remote PC or Cell phone. It can come with a basic camera plus a USB receiver to plug into an electrical socket. Put you guessed it-your camera or cameras in place and plug them to the nearest wall. WiLife moves video from the cameras to the receiver (then onto your PC) over household electrical wires.
